Legend: Legacy of the Dragons is an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) fantasy which anyone can play absolutely free.

You can play Legend directly in your browser, but to decrease time lags, reduce Internet traffic used by the game, and simply for your own convenience you have the option to download various versions of a game client.

The game is situated in the world of Faeo, a world where two races dominate: the Magmars and the Humans. They have been enemies since time immemorial and have been in a state of perpetual war for centuries. As you register you will have to choose which side you want to help to world dominance!

Faeo is full of all sorts of armour and weapons which will enable you to equip your character and “level” up so that you can prove yourself the best warrior in Faeo. And it is not all about cold steel – you will find all sorts of elixirs and potions scattered around Faeo which will provide valuable assistance in the heat of battle as you grapple with your enemy.

Game features

Combat is fully animated and you can see before your very eyes the results of your actions. Legend offers you the chance to take a real and active part in battle and to watch on every move on the screen without getting bogged down in the usual minutiae of text-based games.

The clothes and weaponry with which you choose to kit out your character will not only show in the “Character Information” window, but in battle too. One look at your opponent will tell you whether you are fighting man or mouse!

Legend’s combat system is simple, yet detailed. Whilst the interface is intuitive to any user, there is a huge selection of movements, special blows and battle options for every character, depending on their class, equipment and a whole host of other variables. All this goes to make the game thrilling and dynamic, where the results are not dependent on luck but on you making the right decision.

There are three types of PvP combat in the game:

Duel:  One-on-one combat. You simply have to issue a challenge, indicating the level of the desired opponent and setting the timeout, and wait for someone to accept. Once someone has accepted the challenge, it is up to you whether you want to engage in battle with that opponent.

Group battle:  Here you select which team you want to fight for and wait for battle to commence.

Melee:  Once you have accepted a challenge to a melee, you will be placed on a list with all the other challengers. The list will then be automatically divided into two teams and the fighting will begin.

These battles are intra-racial, not inter-racial, only.

PVP

No doubt you are now wondering how you can get your hands on members of the other race! It’s quite simple; from the moment you leave your native city there will be battles aplenty lying in wait. Find them, before they find you.

With the exception of the main cities, which are well protected by their native race, you can freely attack members of the other race virtually anywhere.

Quests

For those of you who like to engage your brains to solve puzzles, rather than just your swords, Legend is full of quests. There is a large number of NPCs (Non-Player Characters) who can be found all over Faeo and are often in need of a brave warrior. They have all sorts of captivating tasks for you to keep yourself busy with, and on which much depends. They will, of course, reward you for your services. Your actions and decisions will have a telling influence on your progress in the game as many of the quests are non-linear. So think twice before choosing which path to follow.

Pets

Every corner of Faeo is inhabited by some creature or other.

Likewise, as your character develops, you will have the opportunity to acquire a “pet” which will not only make life more interesting, but also offer invaluable assistance in battle. But you must be prepared to care for your four-legged friend.
