In this game dozens of families (comprised of players whose home planets are in the same solar system) compete in the task to gain domination of their galaxy.

To do so they have to explore or capture planets and build various buildings on them to gain cash and resources. They also build fleets, agents and wizards in order to conquer planets belonging to enemy families.

Teamwork inside the families and specialization are key factors for a successful game. Players can create their own alien races with different attributes that influence their abilities and type of play. One can focus on making cash and infrastructure or attacking or conducting special operations. Communication among family members and other player is done through integrated forums, message system and IRC.

Playing is totally free. Players who choose to donate get some minor bonus features like forum avatars and more options when viewing the star map of the galaxy.

The basic game principles are rather simple. The types of buildings and units one can build are limited, too.

Nonetheless this game is running for over six years now for a reason. Once you get into it, it can become quite addictive and the gameplay as a whole turns out to be really diversified.
