Originally releaed in 2000 the original Ground Control was one of the first real time strategy games to combine classic strategy elements with 3-D technology.

With the release of Ground Control II its predecessor was released for free download. This version is also bundled with the multiplayer demo of Ground Control II: Operation Exodus.

Ground Control has its focus fully on action. There is no resource-management like in other RTS games.

The story in campaign mode takes place in the future. After World War III on Earth two forces compete in the colonization of new planets.

There are 15 single-player missions for either side in which you can lead your hightech army against the enemy. Surviving units gain experience and can be upgraded.

Of course this game also includes a multiplayer mode.
